WiimoteLib BB

With the advent of the Wii Balance Board being added to Brian Peeks WiimoteLib (version 1.5.2) facility has been granted to the hom-brew communities to create new and exciting applications via this revolutionary new platform.

So What Is WiimoteLib BB

BB stands for Balance Board. In order to fully utilize all that this technology has to offer I have had to develop several modifications to the WiimoteLib library, some of which (I am honored to say!) have been officially included within it.

WiimoteLib BB is a modified version of Brian Peeks WiimoteLib (Version 1.7) that contains all the code developed for Balance Board Orientation and a few additional enhancements including:

  1. Extended exception catchment.
  2. Support for wireless nun-chucks.
  3. All Balance Board Orientation code.
  4. Extended data types.
  5. WiimoteState cloning.
  6. Standard and Damped COG.
  7. Wiici suite compatibility.

With the development of the Balance Board Orientation system, developers now have full capability to create Windows based WiiFit equivalent applications and more!

Where Can I Get WiimoteLib BB

Before I can release the code I just need to get verification that I can do so.

However if you just cant wait, you can implement all the BB aspect yourself via following the Wiimotelib Balance Board Mod tutorials here at wiici.dyadica.net.

Is There Anything Else I Need

In order to utilize the modified library to its full extent you will need a WiiFit Balance Board and Wireless Nun-chuck. I would also recommend you think about obtaining some form of charging pack for the Board that enables you to initialise connection without having to open up the power compartment each time. Personally I find the Venom charge pack great for this.

If you would like to see an example of WiimoteLib BB working to its full extent check out the Wiici Mt application.
